  • I have searched the issues of this repository and believe that this is not a duplicate.

Summary 馃挕

Maintainers develop with React 16 while most of the community is moving to React 17. We should upgrade the React dev dependency in the repository.

Motivation 馃敠

Optimize for the future. For v5, we plan to only support React 17 anyway.
Updating the developer-facing peer-dependencies of the packages is outside of the scope of this issue. Here, the focus is exclusively on the dev tools we are using internally.
