Usecase for Datepicker: Select your Date of Birth!
It explains all. How many clicks we actually needs!

I am sure that It is not a right place to add this issue for "Google material design". but just in case.

PR mui/material-ui#442 will facilitate picking a date of birth (provides year selection).

Year selector was added with mui/material-ui#658
