Limiting the bot's rate to post

Background :

Just 2 days after opening to more subs, as feared, the bot is now permanently banned in 2 subs. Reason is being given as "annoying spam bot".

On a single post, our bot had made at least 8 to 10 comments as replies to different comments. And there were multiple instances like this.

I agree that seeing such multiple comments one the same thing can be irritating and so it would be a good idea to limit the rate of posting.

TODO :

There can be multiple options of limits like shown in the example below -

• not more than 5 replies per day
• not more than 1 reply per post per day
• not more than 2 replies per sub per day
• not more than 10 replies per month
• post only on odd numbered dates

The easiest solution from above list or any other suggestion is also okay.
