Issue type

General playback bug

Bug description

When a score includes certain articulations/features such as the "fade in"-articulation, a "fall" or even noteheads like the diamond cause a playback issue. The particular notes are sustained forever (or at least until that note is played again) when played back - as if the note-off-command is not there.

I most often encountered that behaviour using "MS Basic Choir Ahs", but had the issues wiht other instruments as well.

Workaround: To prevent that from screwing up your entire mp3-export, you have to select all of these and uncheck "Play".

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add notes for some simple melody
  2. Add the faulty feature: e.g. "Fade-In" articulation to a specific note (not the last one)
  3. Playback

Regression

Yes, this used to work in Musescore 3.x and now is broken

Operating system

Windows 11

Additional context

This behaviour does not take place under all circumstances, sometimes just whoole notes oder just notes followed by a pause have had this issue.

I have encountered it for:
• Articulation:

  • Fade In
  • Volume Swell
  • Fall
  • ...
    • Note Heads:
  • Diamond
  • Plus
  • ...

Updated to MS4.1, still no fix. :(
Please guys, this is really important for a proper playback.

P.s. In some cases you can just diable the playback checkmark to prevent the faulty articulation from screwing up the entire mp3-export, but in case of scoop/fall and noteheads, you can just deactivate the entire note, resulting in holey playback.

P.p.s. I have found out: that the faulty note sustain ends, when the note is played the next time, or if you otherwise add an articulation on top, that is playing back correctly (such as the marcato).
