Your idea

Add a Chord Symbol formatting "\" (or else) to describe polychords (*).

E.g. "Abm7\G^7" would be translated into:
A-G

E.g. "(Abm7\G^7)" would be translated into:
A-G

(*) I propose "\" because "|" seems reserved for an alternate bass notation in the MusicXML standard.

Problem to be solved

Today, polychords cannot be easily in MuseScore written in MuseScore.
It requires adding 2 chords, and using underline text for the above chord (but the result is not nice) :
A-G orig

Prior art

Sibelius has a plugin for making the polychords.
