Steps to reproduce

  1. Add 4 quarter notes in one measure
  2. Change 1st quarter note to whole note
  3. Play: you hear 4 quarter notes instead of one whole note

4.4 master

Regression

Yes, this used to work in MuseScore 4.3

Operating system

Windows 10

Additional context

Related to #22522 changes

Doesn't occur in 4.3
