Docker permission denied; backup path not found (beginners)

I am trying to run MVT (successfully installed using virtual environment option) on ubuntu 24 but it won't let me test docker clone( says path mvt already exist and is not an empty directory?) and then when i run a test image it says permission denied. Is docker that important for using libremobiledevice for ios iphone, and when im backing up (I moved on to the forensic portion for IOS) it keeps saying path does not exist but i was able to install encryption password on it but backup still not working. Would it be possible to create iTunes backup on a separate device and then file transfer the folder to a linux computer os like ubuntu and then run a backup on ubuntu to run the forensics, or would i still need instillation of docker. Also are there other easier alternatives to figure out if Pegasus spyware is installed on phones.
