Debian bullseye has been released last month and is the current stable branch: https://www.debian.org/News/2021/20210814

I just tried to update but I received the following error message:

Ign:4 http://pkg.mxe.cc/repos/apt bullseye InRelease
Err:5 http://pkg.mxe.cc/repos/apt bullseye Release
  404  Not Found [IP: 104.131.71.203 80]
Reading package lists...
E: The repository 'http://pkg.mxe.cc/repos/apt bullseye Release' does not have a Release file.

It would be nice if you could make mxe packages available for the current stable debian branch.

Ditto for bookworm: https://www.debian.org/News/2023/20230610

Dropping /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mxe.list down to bookworm causes apt to claim to perform some sort of disk-freeing miracle:

$ sudo apt-get install mxe-{i686,x86-64}-w64-mingw32.{static,shared}-cc

Not really sure where those ~9.2 exabytes are going to come from.
