I'm already done with most of it, just need to get the commits ready.

We should consider privacy options for profiles, PMs, WOL, etc. as well.

So roll them all into one group of settings in the User CP.
While on that case perhaps a hide from Forum Team and Stats in User CP. Although they are fairly useless.

This isn't a user setting but an administrator setting in the ACP. You can already hide from forum team.

I realise that. I was just thinking about privacy settings in the User CP as well as ACP.
ACP setting could be allow users to opt out of being displayed on the member list.
After all this I think those suggestions would be best as a plugin.
You might as well ignore me ;)

my concern about the other areas is to help hide the super admin(s). I prefer they are not in the forum team, memberlist, a profile lookup and trying to send a PM shows up and "invalid user", etc.

A plugin could be written for that rather than it being on the core.
Not all forum owners will want to have a admin account and then the one that they use for posting on the forum. But it is a good security measure.

I don't think there is a need to completely hide a member from the forum system. To do so would mean hiding it from everywhere a user could be involved (which is a lot).

We already implemented a 'hide me' feature where if a user wishes to be invisible - and usergroup permissions state that I can't see that user when they are - I have no idea whether they are online or when they last visited (it shows "private").

If that user is then in a group that is hidden from the member list or forum team - and they do not publicly post - I have no idea who they are. Even more so if their display group is set as a regular member.

Based on what Tomm has said I'm going to close this out as it would be a nightmare to try and implement.
