Cannot run the dashboard on debian #1

Do you know what has to be updated in order to run this under debian/xserver. I have a imx7 SOC running debian with an LCD display and playing with different QT based projects, unfortunately have no luck running this one, no errors in the console, and nothing on my screen

Maybe you have any ideas what to check?
PS I know that the project is pretty old, but trying to take something half-done and build on top of it.
