Overview

Egret 1.7.1 Community Experienced Version is the 1st CE version after Egret Engine 1.7 official release.In this version, we've mainly focused on bug fix. Note: Community Trial Version includes all the features in the latest final version and some up-to-date fixes and updates.

Updated Items:

Core Display Lists:

  • Fix the bug that RenderTexture cannot draw in some browsers
  • Adding texture release function, Textures can be released by RES.destroyRes
  • Solved frame rate decrease resulted from too much IOS texture

Egret Android Support

  • Reduced text module's usage of memory
  • Optimized game downloading and unzipping
  • Optimized texture memory management
  • Fixed the bug of multiple memory leaks
  • Fixed a thread lock bug
  • Downloading failure on some types of devices
  • RenderTexture cannot be created on some types of devices.

Known Issues:

  • Android Graphics API currently only supports simple line-drawing actions.
  • Android TextField API does not support bold and italic font.
  • iOS Support now only supports iOS7+ versions.
