Image post-processing: Tone mapping & histogram stretching
One might think that an image should be perfect from the moment it is created. This is usually not the case in photography where people needs to gather the data of several images with several exposures before creating a nice final picture and it is not the case for computer generated images.
Several algorithms can be used to enhance the quality of the image, and the focus is given here to tone mapping and histogram stretching.
