Howdy!

Would a PR that added more context about datatype errors and what columns they relate to be useful?

AttributeError: 'float' object has no attribute 'encode'

It would be nice to know which columns caused this issue. and have a few more details.

I am willing to attempt to do the work if the maintainers think it is plausible and if the PR would be merged.
