Issue

When working through some stuck Hackney reports I noticed that their auto-response template for acknowledging reports was being added as soon as a report was confirmed and not when it was sent. Their message references a specific resolution timeframe, which could be confusing to users as the council hadn't actually received the report in that time window.

Perhaps this type of auto-response should only be added at the point the report is successfully sent.

Work required

  • Review all existing auto-response templates to check whether any changes might cause an issue
  • Move code for triggering auto-responses to after report being sent
  • Fix any tests that are broken and that new functionality is testing and working as expected
