After a while in a game with both players doing moves and sending chat messages, at an apparently arbitrary point pickle crashes with an EOF. Is it maybe because the whole game data is too big to be sent through the channel?

Confirmed, this happens as soon as the message surpasses 1024 in size, communication can probably be reworked somehow to avoid a constant increase in size as the game advances.
