Nanominer Not Starting Past "Updating Dataset"

I am running Nanominer for Monero on an Ubuntu 22.04 system. When attempting to start the miner, it says everything up to "Updating dataset..." and then returns to a regular shell and seems to quit out. Why might this be? Thanks.
