Did you find a fix?
What was your solution?
I was updating some old code and hit the same wall.

I am doing some updates and glad I found the reason of the red screen here. Any solution? Thanks!

I currently am experiencing this issue also.
I have inherited a project where this component is used as part of a welcome screen for an app created with ReactNative.
This is as far as I can get with it so far.
I am using react-native 0.55.4.
