And when it does, the whole screen starts to glitch and the audio of the game is stuck at a particular waveform. Since the crash is random, I am unable to recreate it. But it happens at the start of the game in the follow sequence-

Spoiler, click here to expand
  1. When Terra is under control of the slave collar, with the two soldiers from the empire, and meets the frozen esper for the first time.

  2. While fighting Ymir, a lightning whelk guarding the frozen esper, at the start of the game.

  3. When Terra and the soldier are heading towards the cave, the setting is a snowy terrain, where they have to climb a stair, only to encounter the Narshe soldiers pounce on them.

I have not tried after this, would be nice if someone could check this out.

I haven't been able to reproduce this yet unfortunately. What version of the game are you playing (i.e. Japanese, European or North American version) and are you using any patches (i.e. the sound restoration patch)?
I assume you are using the latest version of the emulator (NanoBoyAdvance 1.5)?

This is the US-English version. Resampler is set at Sinc-256, MP2K HQ Mixer is enabled with Cubic Interpolation.

Yes, built it from scratch on Fedora 36.

I can't reproduce this issue and the original author is not around anymore. If there was an issue to begin with, it might be fixed already at this point with all the changes and fixes done since then.

I am closing this. If anyone has the same issue, please open a new bug report.
