Should be rather simple if I understand the implementation and Chaitanyas explanation correctly. Does require the use of the lstchain master though :(

Stalled due to cta-observatory/cta-lstchain#1098

We should be able to use interpolation with lstchain 0.10 now.
Its not super high on my own priority list at the moment though
