<h3><strong>Gravitational Wave and Neutrino Signals from Core-Collapse Supernovae</strong></h3>
<p><span class="image right"><img src="images/img_ccsn_3d.png" alt="" /></span>
Massive stars in the range of 8 - 140 solar mass undergo core collapse at the very end of
their stellar evolution, producing among the most energetic explosions in the Universe,
naming core-collapse supernovae (CCSNe). CCSNe are also the birthplaces of neutron stars,
stellar-mass black holes, and heavy elements. Traditional electromagnetism (EM)
wave observations of CCSNe could only detect emission after shock breakout which is about
a day after core bonus. The physics at core bounce can be only tested by future gravitational
wave (GW) and neutrino observations since the stellar envelope is transparent for GW and neutrinos.

We investigate the CCSN explosion mechanism and predict GW and neutrino signals via self-consistent
multi-dimensional neutrino radiation-hydrodynamics simulations.
We will also examine the role neutrino flavor oscillations in supernova environment,
including the shock revival and heavy element nucleosynthesis.
Our study will provide theoretical constraints on the neutron star equation of state
and close the research gap between EM wave observations and supernova physics after core bounce.<br>
