Capistrano 3 support #23
Comments
@mtylty Any info on this? Capistrano 3 is out for quite a while now... Is everything in Pulsar compatible with Capistrano 3 ? |
@spinx not at all. Right now Pulsar is not compatible with Capistrano 3. To be honest, I've tried in the past and failed miserably. That is mainly because Capistrano 3 has not a very "unix-y" feel like Capistrano 2 had. Capistrano 3 seems like a tool built to work on its own. Now it's probably the right time to try again. I'll keep you posted. |
@mtylty do you have any news/progresses on this topic? Is there a way we could help you? |
@zedtux current progress is on https://github.com/nebulab/pulsar/tree/capistrano-3 the list command is coded and tested but the main deploy command is still missing. |
Ok guys, sorry for the loooooooong wait 馃槶 but I have news. I've been working on Pulsar to add Capistrano 3 support. Once I have this PR merged on master we'll probably release a beta version. I also need to rewrite the README so it will take some more time but we'll probably release a new version which supports Capistrano 3 by the end of the month. |
New Readme is good to go! We can probably close this now. |
We should test how pulsar works with capistrano version 3. From what I understand probably the only thing that it's not working is the
Capistrano::Logger
levels.I'll test some 馃挬 and come back to this issue.
