Please add the option to add borders and transparent backgrounds to app items. This should help improve the visibility of the items, no matter what background is set.

  • Add borders with the following options: three to four border widths, border color picker (maybe just give six color options if a complete color picker is too advanced at the moment).
  • Add transparent backgrounds with the following options: background transparency level (0-100%), and background color picker (maybe just give six color options if a complete color picker is too advanced at the moment).

Hello! Thank you for suggesting this idea. You mentioned adding borders and transparent backgrounds, which is definitely an interesting concept, especially for enhancing item visibility.

However, when designing this app, my goal was to provide a simple and distraction-free UI. Adding options for borders and transparent backgrounds could increase the complexity of the interface and conflict with my design philosophy. Therefore, I won't be adding this feature at this time. Nonetheless, I really appreciate your feedback!

However, when designing this app, my goal was to provide a simple and distraction-free UI. Adding options for borders and transparent backgrounds could increase the complexity of the interface and conflict with my design philosophy.

I see this as a way to improve accessibility for the visually impaired, or just about anyone. At the moment, you need to pick a background image with a very consistent color to avoid the app titles from becoming invisible with the background as you scroll. In my case, most of the background images I would choose have light and dark colors, making it very difficult to choose a background image that won't interfere with my reading the app titles, no matter if I choose a black or white font color. For example.

Obviously this would be your call, but I do highly recommend this, or another method, to make the titles more visible against the background images people might pick.

Hello, thank you for your response. Have you tried changing the font color? There is an option in the settings page to change the font color to accommodate this situation.
