Problem

I installed neovim with brew and get the following error when closing nvim: E886: Failed to create directory /Users/{my-user}/.local/state/nvim for writing Sha Da file: permission denied. Re-install also didn't work.

Steps to reproduce

Installed neovim with brew (brew install neovim).
Opened neovim with nvim.
Closing with :q
