[BUG] React Example will appear logged in, even if login is cancelled #486

Steps to repro:

  1. Run example
  2. Go to private route
  3. Click login
  4. Close login widget without logging in
  5. Click public route: you will see a 'sign out' button at the top, despite not being signed in

Expected behavior:
...
5. Click public route: no sign out button will show
