Cannot create property error

Keep getting this error

My custom section looks like

custom:
  globals: ${file(../../serverless.globals.yml)}

with serverless.globals.yml also referring to env variables I set in .env (STAGE being one of them)
Serverless successfully deploys the service but not sure how to get rid of this error

This looks like symptom of the underlying problem I described for #38 (comment). Please re-open this issue with a Minimal, Reproducible Example if you believe this is a different problem.
