My Career NJ

Welcome to the My Career NJ project!

My Career NJ is an open-source initiative developed and maintained by the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development. This project aims to facilitate career development and job search tools tailored specifically for the residents of New Jersey. We strive to create a platform that is accessible, user-friendly, and most importantly, helpful in advancing the careers of those who use it.

Contribution Guidelines

We welcome contributions from developers, designers, content creators, and anyone enthusiastic about improving career development tools. Whether you're fixing bugs, adding features, or improving documentation, your help is appreciated. Please follow these guidelines to contribute effectively:

  1. Familiarize Yourself: Before contributing, please take some time to familiarize yourself with the project. Understanding our goals, technologies, and development practices will help you make meaningful contributions.

  2. Issue Tracker: Start with our issue tracker. If you want to contribute but are not sure where to start, solving open issues or opening new ones yourself is a great way to get familiar with the project.

  3. Fork and Pull Request: Fork the repository, make your changes, and submit a pull request. Ensure your code follows the project's coding standards and includes appropriate tests.

  4. Code of Conduct: We are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all contributors. Please adhere to our Code of Conduct in all your interactions within the project.
