Nextcloud Talk is not installed. It might be in future, but I have no plans to install it any time soon.
Having the Nextcloud Talk icon (in the Nextcloud Android sidebar) that links to the Talk app causes confusion, especially as I have some less-technically-savvy users on board.
Describe the solution you'd like
Simpler solution: Ability to remove this icon showing for all users by default, from the server/admin side.
Ideal solution: Customise which icons/links show for users by default, from the server/admin side.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Alternatives at the moment all revolve around talking with all my users about the issue. Not an ideal alternative especially if the number of users grows.

You're correct there is currently no capabilities check server-side, but there is an in-app toggle under Settings called "Show app switcher" that will disable the entire ecosystem app list. That does have to be set by each user however. The only way around having to do that is with a branded/custom client.
Hi @joshtrichards , it would be a preference of mine to be able to set it server side, just as you can set name, icon, theme colour server side (which works really well by the way) without needing to release a new version of a branded app.
The custom branded app is potentially a great option for large businesses. Being able to set it server/admin side is a bit more tenable for people running it for family and/or extended friend groups.
Especially since otherwise the app switcher list, I'd prefer to keep it as it's a simple way to show users what else is out there, I'd just prefer to remove Talk for now.
Is your feature request related to a problem?
I run a Nextcloud instance for multiple users.
