Describe the solution you'd like

It would be nice to be able to select multiple images at once by click and sliding like in a classic file viewer.

Also other usual methods of multi-select like hold shift to select all photos in between the first and the last selected photo

Edit:
I just came across this comment:#17313 (comment)
Which describes the desired functionality for files

I've just started working with Photos on NC 26, and ran into this as well. My use case:

I come back from an event with 300+ photos and want to make an album out of them - am I truly supposed to click on 300 individual photos in order to add them? Or am I missing something?

With NC 26 there are multiple ways to select ranges of files which all seem to be gone with NC 28.
