Hello,

Version used: NC 18.0.1 upgraded from NC17; Using LDAP backend.

When sharing a normal, non group folder, with a LDAP group of people, it won't show up in the photos app for the people the folder has been shared with.

When sharing the same folder with an individual in said group, the folder will show up in their "Shared Folder" category within the Photos app.

This unfortunaltey breaks media viewing for our entire organisation. Happy to help to debug further if further information is required.

Hey, you're talking about the Timeline view, right?

I'm not sure what you mean by Timeline view, but for me the images dont show up in:

  • Your Photos
  • Favourites
  • Your albums
  • Shared albums
  • Tagged photos
  • Locations

I also have this issue. Let me know if I can provide you with anything that would be helpful towards getting this resolved.

It might be fitting to check if the issue also exists when sharing to circles. If yes, it might be possible to fix them both at the same time.

I'm also having this issue. Any update on this?

Hello,

when i share an album to a NC user through his Federated Cloud ID (we are not hosted on the same server), the album appears in Files tab (shared files with me) but not in shared album under Photo tabs. Is it the same bug described here ?

Shared album is only working when i share an album to another user hosted the same server. So in that way, i don't need the Federated Cloud ID and the shared album appears inside the "shared album" view for the other user.

There is a bit of confusion with the Shared albums view, we renamed it to Shared with you :)

I downloaded the app Group folders 9.0.2.
Using Settings -> Group folders I created a group folder named shared for photos, videos and more.

The folder shared exist in the home directory of every user. On the folder icon are two persons.

The photo app only searches own folders like Documents or Photos for new pictures. The group folder shared is not searched.

Using nextcloud-21.0.3snap2 on ubuntu-server 20.4 LTS. Photo ist 1.3.0
