After digging through the file structure, because external drives are not indexed recursively and can only be accessed from “albums” I noticed my DNG photos do not show in photos.

It would be a welcome addition to the photos app if DNG photos would show up there. It would also be nice if I didn’t have to navigate into albums and then into the individual year/month folders so it worked more like media on the mobile app, but I’ll take what I can get.

I like the way media on mobile shows all my photos without having to navigate into the folders. Desktop does not work this way (maybe only because they’re on external storage?? I’m not sure because the only photos I have on the internal storage right now are the sample ones, which are all in the root of the photos folder)
