Nice. Wouldn't it be a good idea to announce the change there, where the annoncement usually is, instead of the forum?

And BTW: I would vote for continuing the announcement for changes here in the usual way with a link to the documentation. Speaking for me: I do not search for announcements in the forum (which is a user's forum in my point of view), nor in the documentation.
