Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

  • The storage usage reported by nextcloud does not report on how much quota used by photos, how much by documents etc
  • There is no way for users to understand how their storage quota is used

Describe the solution you'd like

  • Storage usage should report quota usage aggregated by type in files app and user settings
  • Perhaps a new OCS API endpoint also to provide this granularity

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • None

Additional context

  • Some inspiration for the feature from Google Drive and iCloud which show how much usage different types of files take up:
  • For e.g. in iCloud:
