Steps to reproduce

  1. Mention someone with autocomplete
  2. It looks good in the input area
  3. Send the message
  4. It looks broken in the temporary message
  5. After receiving it from the server again it's rendered okay

Not sure if we can do anything about this at all, but we should keep it in mind.

Same will happen in mobile clients when implemented.
