A couple of things that weren't addressed in conversation filtering.

Upon clicking into the search conversation field, even if the user hasn't typed anything yet, the "abort search" button should be immediately visible.
If the conversations are mention-filtered before clicking the search field, the list should become unfiltered immediately.
