Describe the bug
Since the log4j.properties was updated to log4j2.properties, the file gets overwritten during an upgrade.

To Reproduce
Upgrade to 4.2.0, but first save your log4j2.properties, and see that the properties file was overwritten.

Expected behavior
The log4j2.properties with customizations should be maintained in the conf folder.

Actual behavior
The file is overwritten, removing all the customizations
