cannot move map #213
Comments
Tried on a tablet with Android 4.4.4, there it worked as expected. |
@Flexmaen Thanks for reporting that. I only have old devices and can not test that. If you like, you can help by doing some research on the differences. There should be other people who have this problem in their apps, too. |
If you have Windows I can recommend Bluestacks, which is an easy to use Android emulator. The last two issues concerning the map on newer Android versions (like map images not shown and this one) also happened there. |
It should concern any app with a map. I do not really know. But I do not know the difference between the different Android versions either. This will need some research first before I understand the solution. |
No really. All other apps with a map work fine on these devices. |
Which work fine? Then, maybe, we can copy&paste some code. Is there on open-source app which works? |
https://github.com/gschwann/Baugeschichte (QT) For example. But I think only OSMAnd has offline maps, and there they have just vector maps I guess. |
If they use open layers, not leaflet (I do not know leaflet), this is ok: |
I can not solve it. Since this is last worked on 10 months ago, I close it. If you like to comment, feel free to do so. |
I'm sorry that there is no one else who was able to help yet. But I think it will be useful to leave this issue open, even if it can't be solved yet. Somehow it is a blocker on newer devices if you cannot move the map the normal way. Less than 10% of the users are using Android version lower than 5.0 nowadays, although I appreciate support of older versions. |
Great, yeah! I just realized that this is still the case as I had the chance to look at a later Android 8.0. |
If you are on a Windows machine you can also test with Bluestacks. This is an easy installable Android emulator that also has this issue. |
I tried the Release 156 with both my phone (Android 8.1) and BlueStacks 4.
You cannot move the map with one finger. You can only move it while doing a 2-finger zoom gesture.
