  1. Please add support to display the speed of a third fan!

  2. (Goes togehter with 1):
Please add a Fan-Speed Setting where you varry the speed of the single fans by a certain percentage (right arround 3 Percent is the sweetspot for me)
This will greatly improve the comfort, when mining on the rig below your desk, because it gets rid of the resonance noise (slowly going up and down in frequency) which is such a mayor pain in the ...

When i set it up on my GPU, I tend to go with +6% on the first fan, +3% on the second and no change on the third. This would be a straight forward way of applying the change.

  1. What is displayed is returned by NVIDIA NVAPI. If it returns just 2 fans, Excavator cannot report 3.
  2. Fan speed should normalize over time automatically, unless your environment temperature constantly changes.

@nicehashdev sorry for the late answer. just got my card back from evga.
1.: not sure about nvapi. is there a tool reading that info properly, so i can share it with you?
i found this with gpu-z. the third one seems to be a "EVGA iCX Right Fan"
image
there are many values unter "advanced", but i cannot really find out about the number of fans. can you point me to it?

2.: even when the fan-speed is normalized, all the fans running at the same speed causes sound resonance, appearing to the ear as a "sine-wave"-volume sound (becoming louder and quieter constantly). this is extremely anoying when you are next to the device (single gpu in the gaming pc next to my desk-setup)
so when you target 100% fan speed, the second fan should have 97, third fan 94 (3% diff). this would mostly eliminate the resonance noise
