For Recruiter

Desired Role:

  • Backend engineer (Python, Golang, Rust)
    • Also capable as a Full-stack Engineer with frontend development skills.
  • Linux kernel engineer (C, Rust)

Expectations of the company

  • Have a backend team.
  • Can participate in good software architecture
  • Use public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Have products with high traffic demand, distributed system, high scalability, high availability.
  • Have a clear salary range.

Nice to Have

  • Work remotely or work in Taipei (Neihu, Nangang, Xinyi, Songshan preferred).
  • Have ability to judge the treatment of job applicants without referring to last salary.
  • Having flexible working hours.
  • Leave system is better than average.
  • Allow to use Unix-like OS to be main developing computer.
  • Subsidized purchase of computer.
  • The work involves contributing to open source code.
  • Operating in a competitive industry/domain.
  • Have DevOps process

Not interesting about

  • Grey industry.
    • Gambling.
    • Adult site.
  • Contract job.
  • Manpower dispatch.
  • Old traditional industry.
  • Be asked non-work-related personal information before on board.
    • Such as ID numbers, family members.
  • Job description that can not recognize desired company and fit expectations.

Desired Company Sample

The future career target is competitive software companies in the industry.

  • World-renowned companies: Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, Canonical, Yahoo, Carousell, etc.
  • Well-known companies in Taiwan: Trend Micro, MediaTek, NovaTek, Synology, KKCompany, etc.
  • Competitive startup: Appier, Skymizer, OneDegree, Pinkoi, GoFreight, iKala, Gogolook, etc.
