Trouble showing errors in reactive form

I think there is no mat-error defined in this component already, so when I am using it in material reactive form it is not giving errors but form is not submitting because of errors.
When I try to explicitly show errors based on condition then errors start showing on form load itself, not when touched or form is submitted.
Anyone please guide!!
