Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

How to get started

Start by opening the tasks/swift/easy directory from the root of the project.
Then open fibonacci.swift file and start working on your solution!

Description

Implement a function fibonacci(n: Int) -> Int that calculates the n-th Fibonacci number.
The function should return the n-th Fibonacci number where:

  • fibonacci(0) is 0
  • fibonacci(1) is 1
  • fibonacci(n) is fibonacci(n - 1) + fibonacci(n - 2)

Running the Code

Navigate to the root of the Swift project:

cd tasks/swift/easy

Compile the Swift code using the following command:

swiftc fibonacci.swift -o output

Run the compiled code:

./output

Expected Outcome

Your program should successfully compile and return the correct Fibonacci numbers when tested.
