I am a Deputy Director at the Jacques Delors Centre Berlin where I lead our think tank work on European economic policy.
Previously, I obtained my PhD in International Relations and Political Economy from the University of Zurich and was as a visiting fellow at the Weatherhead Center for Internationa Affairs at Harvard University. I hold degrees in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and in Political Science and Economics from the Free University of Berlin.
My research lies at the intersection between International and Comparative Political Economy and primarily focuses on the causes and consequences of regional economic imbalances and structural change. It has been published in outlets such as Oxford University Press, Journal of Politics and the Review of International Organizations and was awarded with the SNIS PhD Thesis Award. My policy work focuses on European fiscal- and economic policy, reforms of the EU?s economic governance, and the role of Germany in the EU.
