Hi! I was hoping to reach out to individuals who have commit access.

I am the original author of this package and have been maintaining it for years, but have lost access sometime during 2023 (I pushed last release in January 2023).
I was wondering if either:

  1. There are active maintainers who can handle PRs and do releases as needed, or
  2. If not (1), I could get back enough contributor/admin access to this repo to handle maintenance tasks.
  3. Something else?

Do you think it would make sense to ping the users who were once members of the ning organization? Or do you know that they don't have access either.

I don't think former members matter that much but rather whoever still has access. Ning as a company ran with skeleton crew for long time; I think the platform is still around in some form but I don't know who might be still there.

Ok, I assumed that maybe some of them are still members of the GitHub organization, but changed their settings to not be publicly listed anymore.

Even if they aren't members anymore, do you think they could know who to contact?

At this point I don't really have bandwidth to much more here unfortunately.

I no longer appear to have access to the Ning organization; it looks like I'm watching this repo, but that's about it :(

I think we were both kicked out. Maybe bakert is still around? (not sure what his github handle would be )

@brianm I guess you probably won't know much more but... ?

@brianm, do you still have access, or do you know who has access?

(Sorry if this pings you a second time; cowtowncoder added the @ mention in the message above as edit, and I wasn't sure whether GitHub sends a notification in that case.)

Got it, thank you @alexeygon !

Has the contributor access been clarified? GitHub still shows "Contributor" for you, which if I understand it correctly, means external contributor, so your access rights have not changed?

Or are you currently discussing this privately?

I have not tried to see if I can push branches etc. I hope I'll have time to look into this in relatively near future; right now I don't have time.
