Editor horizontal scrolling is messed up

Agreed; this has led to a number of issues for me. I've been writing long bits of code (will it accept multi-line commands?) and when it scrolls to the right, no text appears on the screen. I've also managed to get -1 as a column value, but I can't reproduce this.
