we are in 2019, maybe increasing the required version of automake to at least 1.11 would be nice :) anyway, it's something than users of the released tarball won't see.

The version in autogen.sh is just the minimum version.

It will use whatever is installed on your system.

I build the official releasedon my Debian Linux machine which has:

  • automake 1.15
  • autoconf 2.69
  • libtool 2.4.6
