As you may know, Gazebo-classic (aka Gazebo11, see Terminology) is no longer being actively developed and will not be available on ROS Jazzy (REP 2000). I noticed that this project still uses Gazebo-classic. Are there any plans to migrate to modern Gazebo (previously known as Ignition)?

I have not considered it, but it could be a possibility.

If I remember correctly, there is no multicamera sensor anymore, so the setup should be simplified and have a nicer integration.

Would you be interested in having it directly integrated into gazebo?

That's correct.

We currently have a CameraVideoRecorder system that can be attached to a camera sensor and is activated by a service call. I imagine it provides some of the functionality provided by gazebo_video_monitors, but I'm not sure it covers everything. Would you be able to say what's missing?
