Please confirm if bug report does NOT exists already ?

  • I confirm there is no existing issue for this

Steps to reproduce ?

While importing a CSV file, the format of the record changed, and the Field-Type changed to SingleLineText while the original
Field-Type was MultiSelect.Also, the color palette of the MultiSelect is gone when imported.

Desired Behavior

Hopefully, the format does not change when imported.

Are you using the cloud or selfhosted - provide the version number of nocodb.

If its latest 0.202.4 : you can change it back to multiselect from column options.

Thank you for your response. I've attached the CSV file I used. The following steps outline the actions I took when the error occurred:

  1. Navigated to 'Base' which can be accessed in the 'Getting Started' section.
  2. On the homepage, I selected 'Import Data.'
  3. A pop-up window appeared, and I opted for the CSV import option.
  4. I proceeded to drag and drop the attached CSV file.
  5. After clicking 'Import,' a quick import popup window appeared, where all the Field Types were changed to 'SingleLineText,' as I previously mentioned. Furthermore, the options list, which originally was for 'MultiSelect' (but is now changed to 'SingleSelect' upon import), had lost some options that I had previously added.

Please let me know if you need any additional information or if there's anything else I can do to assist in resolving this issue.

on v202.5,
Department & Status were identified as Single Select
Category- I manually changed to Multi Select & it worked.

There are few fixes gone in v202.5 release. See if it helps. If you need some more auto detection, will be happy to receive a PR on that.
