FWIW I would consider moving testing off debian 8 at some point so we can replace those end-of-life OS's in CI with more recent ones.

I searched around and Debian 8 reached the end of life the 30 June 2020, so it's reasonable replace it with one more recent.

I believe this is resolved. All tests had passed in the last CI I started - https://ci.nodejs.org/view/x%20-%20Abi%20stable%20module%20API/job/node-test-node-addon-api-LTS%20versions/1419/
