Sorry for the cross-posting. I've open a similar issue/question in latysheff/node-sctp#3.

And since the doc of this library says:

transport [stream.Duplex] Any valid Duplex stream.

I assume that a Node.js net UDP socket is a valid transport, am I right?

Also, may I know please the current status of this lib? is it well tested and maintained? any reason to prefer this over node-sctp (or vice-versa)?
