The automatic updating of the selected block lists is broken since (at least) SailfishOS 2.2.0, see e.g. https://openrepos.net/comment/27233#comment-27233
Manually updating the block lists works.

I have observed this on all SailfishOS releases since 2.2.0 and recently retested with v2.2.1 (on a Jolla 1) and v3.2.1 (on an Xperia X).
