Hello,

Could someone please make a new option "Hide file extensions" for the tab bar?

It would be far more convenient to navigate while working with a large number of files (30-40) opened at the same time.

I came here to request the same, was happy to see other users want this too. Would make for a great option, even if it defaults to off. Most of my tabs are text files so multiple tabs saying .txt eats up space and is redundant. Thank you in advance for adding this!
